The Location(s): Tidewater Region, VA
The Position: The Electronic Security Technician is responsible for tasks associated with the installation of Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion detection, and Fire alarm systems. The job description listed herein is a basis of design and is not all inclusive.
Specific Essential Functions: Install CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion, and Fire Alarm hardware cabling, Panel terminations, Programming and Testing. Performing preventive maintenance and repair as per a client maintenance agreement and/or warranty. Able to perform troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing systems and/or equipment. Position requires technician to participate in an on-call rotation schedule. Technician would be available to answer client calls after normal working hours and on weekend/holidays depending on the rotation order. Responsible for updating Management on the status of all work performed daily. Notify Management daily of any materials needed to complete duties. Perform additional Security Technician and related functions as assigned by Management and deemed within the general skill and ability level of a productive Security Technician in our industry.

Educational/Experience Requirements: Experience in CCTV, Access Control, Alarm & Intrusion, and Fire Alarm installation & programming for such systems as Honeywell, Avigilon, LENEL, Panasonic, and Fire-Lite. Required to adhere to OSHA Safety Standards. Required to possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable with our auto insurance carrier during course of employment. Obtain and keep up-to-date DCJS Registration. As appropriate and applicable, become certified in all product lines. Receive professional and technical knowledge by attending manufacturer training, seminars, conferences, etc. when made available by manager. Attend all team training and safety meetings. All employees will be required to pass all background checks, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening.
Physical Requirements: Required to safely lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; reach with hands and arms. Will frequently be required to walk, sit, and use hands to pull cables and wires, use power tools, work in various positions and climb ladders and/or scaffolding. Positions requires the necessary vision to work with small, color-coded wiring. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud on occasion and employee may be exposed to outside weather elements. Travel may be necessary on occasion
The Position: We are seeking an OSP Engineer responsible for conducting field activities to support telecommunications projects. Work functions include desktop feasibility analysis using Google Earth, pole/conduit/site surveys, OSP field engineering, and related tasks. The successful candidate will take full ownership of assignments, schedules, and deadlines while working independently and in collaboration with senior engineers and project managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Google Earth analysis of potential network routes.
- Collect and review field data for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform preliminary route reconnaissance and selection.
- Complete field surveys to support make-ready solutions that meet client specifications.
- Participate in joint ride-outs with utilities as required.
- Support conduit licensing processes across multiple utilities.
- Review client specifications, design standards, and construction guidelines to ensure compliance.
- Document findings in required forms and formats for drafting or client deliverables.
- Identify ownership of known subsurface obstructions along proposed routes.
- Assist in preparing engineering drawings and bid documents.
- Attend project status meetings, permit coordination sessions, and design criteria meetings.
- Prepare, review, and recommend project documents and drawings for client approval.
- Assist with construction contract estimates.
- Investigate and resolve design-related issues during the removal phase.
This position is open to candidates with Outside Plant Construction (OSP) experience building fiber optic networks.

A minimum of five years in OSP Construction is preferred. The successful candidate will manage all project life cycle phases, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive industry knowledge, and the ability to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Have a working knowledge of OSP Construction methods including aerial, buried, and underground cable placement.
- The ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Able to meet with developers, superintendents, customers, and others to discuss and lay out telecom networks.
- Attend pre-bid meetings with customers and government entities.
- Research specifications, materials, price, and bid RFPs, RFQs.
- Computer skills in Outlook, Excel, and Project Management tools.

We are accepting applications for a Quality OSP Construction Inspector. The information is as listed below. This has been presented to us as a long term position. This position is in the Ashburn/Manassas, Virginia area. You may have multiple construction crews in the field to inspect for quality, safety and accountability. You would report directly to local management. A background check will be conducted and you will carry a security card for access to data centers, restricted areas and warehouses. In addition to OSP responsibilities you may be required to assist in loading cables or other materials from the warehouse. Previous forklift experience will be helpful however we will send you to a certified training class.
