Bethlehem Baptist Church
Express-tek installed video projection system in the historic sanctuary, worked with the owner to provide a solution that would enhance and not detract from the beauty of the historic building while maintaining flexibility that allowed the space to be altered for productions and other events.
City of Fredericksburg, VA
Location: Fredericksburg VA
Express-Tek designed and constructed the fiber backbone throughout the City to deliver fiber optic service to all the City’s Administration, courthouse police and fire stations. We also maintain the City’s network and are presently designing to create the fiber ring.
Datacenter Conduit Systems
Multiple locations
Express-tek has provided conduit design services for multiple international datacenters in Ashburn, VA. This includes designing a conduit system connecting datacenter to datacenter, datacenter to internet service providers, datacenter campuses and for carriers.
Fiber Relocation/Restoration New Subdivision Route 1
Location: Stafford County
Express received an emergency call out on a Saturday afternoon to find the county cable and the Mary Washington Hospital fibers damaged at new road cut in along Route 1. When it became apparent that the cable was in conflict with ongoing work Express-tek was able to immediately recognize a safe but temporary route to restore service. After temporary service was restored Express-tek was able to work with the developer and was able to restore the fiber facilities outside of the work area all at the expense of the developer.
Fiber to the Home
Location: Atlanta Metro Area
Express-tek designed the fiber backbone for a Fiber to the Home network throughout the Atlanta Metro Area.
Fort Lee Logistics Building 1109
Location: Fort Lee, VA
Express-tek designed, planned and installed CCTV security integration.
Fredericksburg and Marrifield Hyatt Hotels
Express-tek designed flexible meeting spaces that required sound and video projection systems. The systems installed included controls that were able to combine and separate in multiple ways.
Grove Avenue Baptist Church
Express-tek updated the existing audio broadcasting system from analog to digital. This required a complete rewire in the infrastructure between front-of-house and broadcast audio system. Express-tek also worked with the television station to set levels appropriately and installed sound systems in other rooms throughout the facility.
IDX Impressions, Inc.
Location: Fredericksburg, VA
Express-tek designed, planned, installed and maintained Access Control integration.
Multiple Long-haul Backbone Networks
Locations (not limited to): Virginia. Maryland, District of Colombia, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee
Express-tek has designed, for multiple carriers, long-haul backbone networks. These networks helped provide greater network capacity for our client’s networks and have helped create diversity among their networks
MWAA/WMATA Sliver Line Relocation
Location: Tysons, VA to Datacenter Alley in Ashburn, VA
Express-tek coordinated with MWAA, WMATA, VDOT, Local Jurisdictions, and all other utilities within the public right-of-way to relocate multiple carriers through Tysons, Reston, Herndon, Sterling, and Ashburn, VA for the installation of the new DC Metro Silver Line. This project started in 2007 and is still ongoing.
Rural ILEC Networks
Locations: Virginia and West Virginia
Express-tek provided rural broadband design services and designed a state-of-the-art Radio Frequency over Glass (RFoG) network in underserved rural areas of Virginia and West Virginia. These networks helped provide internet and cable services to the businesses and residents of these areas.
Shiloh Baptist Church
Express-tek upgraded and expanded the sound system to include coverage in areas that were not covered initially and distribution to other parts of the church.
Stafford County Public School Network Design
Location: Stafford County VA
Express-tek planned, designed and installed CCTV security integrations for all 31 county schools. Express-tek also planned, designed, engineered, certified and installed voice, data, and a fiber optic structured network cabling infrastructure for all county schools to public right-of-ways throughout the county, including administrative buildings and fire stations. This allowed for better network connectivity by providing diverse routes to ensure network stability.
Town of Herndon Police Department
Express-tek provided multi-room system control with touchscreen interfaces with the ability to send sources to multiple locations. The project also included a flexible meeting space with room combining and separating based on the owner’s needs and digital signage displays in the lobby. This project included installation of screens, projectors, and wall and ceiling mounted flat-screen displays. Sound systems were also provided.
Virginia Commonwealth University
Location: Richmond VA
Express-tek has the cabling VASCUPP contract for VCU to maintain and expand their Telecommunications throughout the campus.
Virginia Department of Transportation
Location: Richmond VA
Express-tek provides design, planning, installation, maintenance, and certification for voice, data, and optical fiber structured network cabling infrastructure throughout VA for VDOT AHQ and Residency Buildings.
XO Communications ONB Project
Locations: DC Metro Area and Atlanta Metro Area.
During a 26-month period, Express-tek planned, designed, engineered, and project managed a large-scale network expansion that had us design to approximately 450 buildings and bring online approximately 200 buildings in the D.C. Metro Area (District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia) and Atlanta Metro Area. Our team exceeded our client’s expectations by meeting the project financial and timeline milestones.
