Thinking Beyond the Blueprint
As we begin a new year, January is a natural time to plan, evaluate, and position projects for long-term success. Funding cycles are opening, priorities are being set, and organizations that prepare early are best positioned to act when opportunities arise.
This month, we’re spotlighting LDA. Learn Design Apply, Inc., a trusted partner specializing in grant strategy, compliance, and implementation support. LDA helps organizations navigate complex federal funding programs, translating requirements into actionable, fundable projects. Their expertise aligns closely with the infrastructure, communication, and safety solutions Express-tek delivers.
Below are several key federal funding programs expected in 2026 that may support upcoming initiatives.
Funding Spotlight:
Distance Learning & Telemedicine (USDA) Grant
The USDA DLT Grant supports projects that expand distance learning and telemedicine in rural communities through secure, reliable connectivity. Eligible funding covers network infrastructure, interactive audio and video systems, broadband transmission, cybersecurity improvements, and supporting equipment. Express-tek works alongside design and grant partners like LDA to help plan and deploy the cabling, communications, and infrastructure required to support these technology-driven environments from day one.
School Violence Prevention Program
The COPS-SVPP program helps schools strengthen safety through access control, surveillance, mass notification, and facility hardening solutions. Express-tek supports districts pursuing this funding by designing and installing integrated security and communication systems that align with grant requirements, while coordinating with design teams and local stakeholders to ensure systems are scalable, compliant, and ready for long-term use
Nonprofit Security Grant Program (FEMA)
The FEMA NSGP provides funding for physical and cybersecurity improvements at high-risk nonprofit facilities. Express-tek partners with organizations and design teams to implement access control, surveillance, mass notification, and network infrastructure that meets program guidelines while enhancing overall resilience. From planning through installation, we help ensure funded systems are deployed correctly and built to perform when they are needed most.
